Das Actisense OPTO-4 isoliert einen RS232-Anschluss (PC) und schützt vor Erdschleifen. Es ist ein bidirektionales NMEA 0183 (RS422) zu RS232 Schnittstellenkabel, das eine sichere Methode für den Anschluss eines NMEA 0183 Systems an einen Laptop oder ein beliebiges Gerät mit einem standardmäßigen 9-poligen RS232 Anschluss bietet. Die Isolierung schützt das angeschlossene Gerät, so dass potenziell gefährliche Spannungen auf dem NMEA 0183-Bus keine Schäden an der PC-Hardware verursachen können.
Das opto-4 eignet sich besonders für Systembauer, die eine Abschirmung aller Komponenten benötigen.
