Yacht Divices NMEA2000 Data Recorder, this small module stores all messages sent over the NMEA2000 bus on a micro SD card. So you have a complete (backup) digital log of your trip with all the information from sensors such as wind, depth, engine data and even the tracks of ships transmitting AIS.
With the included software you can generate GPX and CSV files; GPX files you can load into Google Earth, Garmin MapSource and other map software, CSV files you can read into MS Excel, LibreOffice Calc and for example Numbers or import into databases. Then you can create graphs of specific data etc. etc.
Via the audio connection you can also record audio, so it can be connected to and speaker output of a marine radio (max 5W at 4 Ohm). The audio files are stored on the microSD card and recorded in the NMEA log with the name of the file for easy retrieval of the correct recording.
It is also possible to create a 'Wind Rose' and 'polar diagrams' with the data being recorded.
