Yacht Devices NMEA2000 WiFi Gateway.
To send NMEA2000 data wirelessly to, for example, a SmartPhone or Tablet, the WiFi Gateway is the solution. It can connect to an existing Wi-Fi network or serve as an access point itself. It is a bi-directional gateway, and can also convert between NMEA2000 and NMEA0183 format for e.g. OpenCPN or other Navigation software.
Through the built-in web server, you can display beautifully designed gauge instruments on smartphone/tablet/PC/Mac without having to install any software.
To configure the link you need nothing more than a computer with WiFi (PC, Tablet or phone) and a Web Browser. Restoring to factory settings can be done through a hidden Reset button.
The link supports TCP and UDP network protocols (usable simultaneously). There are no limits on the number of applications or devices when using UDP. Through the built-in web server, you can display the included colorful gauges on any screen with web browser. So you can choose wind and, Engine, course, speed and other data for display in different page layouts.
The WiFi link also supports the “RAW” protocol, at the moment this is not yet supported by many applications but it makes it possible to send NMEA2000 messages in two directions. It is also possible to save .CAN files with the free “CAN Log viewer” software for Microsoft Windows, MacOS and Linux.
The recorded .CAN files can be converted with the “YDVR Converter” software to .DAT format, GPX tracks, Spreadsheets, etc. It obviously does not work as easily as the Voyage Recorder, but is great for testing and diagnostics.

The WiFi Link is designed to work in an NMEA2000 network and functions with a wide range of equipment using this protocol. Raymarine SeaTalkNG, Simrad SimNet and Furuno CAN are Trade Names of the NMEA2000 standards and differ only by Connector. Garmin uses the NMEA2000 micro connector, which is the same as the DeviceNet connector.
