Yachtdevices Smart Relay.
This switch is designed to switch two consumers on one switch. An example is a combined deck/steam light in the mast which is connected to two wires (+ and -) in the mast. This relay switches the first channel on when the switch is set to “on” and switches it to channel two when the switch is turned off and on twice in one second.
This smart relay consists of a bi-stable RT424F05 relay and consumes power only during switching. The whole unit consumes less than 0.5mA. The working voltage is 6-16V and the maximum continuous current through the relay is 8A and the switching peak may be 15A for 4 seconds.
The Smart relay itself is waterproof, of course the connections are open so it should not be placed where water can enter. Always use a fuse in the circuit!
The possibilities of this relay are virtually unlimited, think of switching a float switch and bilge pump between automatic and on, a steam light/deck light combination via one switch and only two wires (+ and -) in the mast. Avoid installing additional wires, deck penetrations, etc.
