The transmit power is adjustable between 1 and 6 watts. The time-out function prevents the transmit button from being accidentally left pressed. After 5 minutes of transmitting, the VHF radio automatically turns off, preventing you from unknowingly continuing to transmit.
Every VHF radio must have an ATIS code. Using this code, bridge and lock complexes, traffic control systems and marinas can see who has called them. Attention! This code can only be set once.
The HX320E is equipped with the E2O (easy to operate) menu. This user-friendly menu is completely customizable. With the large backlit keys you can easily navigate through the menus, where indicators such as battery level, charge indicator, squelch and volume are displayed. In addition, the HX320E features a Preset Key under which you can store 10 channels. In addition, the HX320E is equipped with a Triple watch function.
It may happen that the VHF radio falls into the water while sailing. No problem. The HX320E is waterproof according to the IPX7 standard. This means it can be submerged under water for 30 minutes up to 1 meter and still work perfectly. In addition, the HX320E floats. If it falls into the water, the strobe light automatically turns on, even if the marine radio is off or out of battery. This ensures that the VHF radio is easy to find even at night.
