Simrad AP70 MK2 Autopilot solenoid pack containing an AP70 MK2 controller and AC80A computer and RF45X rudder feedback. The AP70 Mk2 replaces the aging AP70 and AP80 as IMO / SOLAS autopilot controller. The Simrad AP70 Mk2 is a dedicated autopilot controller for professional mariners on commercial vessels. AP70 Mk2 includes all the features of AP70 and AP80 and is compatible with the same range of autopilot computers, remote controls and interface to third-party navigation equipment as its predecessors.
Thruster Integration & Rudder Feedback Support. The AP70 Mk2 allows simultaneous autopilot control of up to 6 rudders and thrusters by adding optional AD80 or SD80 interface modules. The strusters can be set to automatically switch below a user-defined speed threshold and are configured separately for normal and working modes. The AP70 Mk2 also supports specialized heavy-duty rudder feedback units designed for reliable operation aboard commercial vessels.
